Religion and ethics

NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.

Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. There are no Special Education in Ethics approved providers available at Belmore North Public School.

At Belmore North Public School, students who do not attend a scripture class are provided with supervised meaningful activities during the time the other students attend a scripture class. Meaningful activities include things like completing worksheets to practice previously learnt skills such as reading, research, spelling and mathematics timetables or number facts.

Students are organised into groups based on their stage of learning:

Kindergarten to Year 2 (Early Stage 1 to Stage 1): 10:10am-10:40am

Year 3 to Year 4 (Stage 2): 9:40am-10:10am

Year 5 to Year 6 (Stage 3): 9:10am-9:40am
